THE GHOST BIKE
PART 2 — THE INTERNSHIP
Some secrets travel farther than people do.

CHAPTER 1
A NEW BEGINNING
Months had passed since the strange events at the small Ayurveda hospital in Perumbavoor.
Arjun tried to put everything behind him.
The woman in the corridor.
The locked Room 7.
The mysterious X-ray.
And the message:
“Now she knows you.”
He never discovered the complete truth.
But one thing had changed.
The doctor at the hospital had convinced him to take Ayurveda therapy seriously.
So Arjun made a decision.
He joined an Ayurveda course at a university regional campus in Kottayam.
For the first time, he felt that his life was moving in a clear direction.
Medicine.
Ayurveda.
Therapy.
A normal career.
But sometimes the past doesn't disappear.
It simply waits.
---
CHAPTER 2
THE FIRST SEMESTER
The first semester passed quickly.
Arjun made new friends.
He learned about Ayurveda treatments, traditional medicines and therapy techniques.
College life was completely different from his previous days.
For the first few months, nothing strange happened.
Then, during one practical session, something caught his attention.
An old anatomical chart was hanging in a storage room.
Behind it was a faded photograph.
A group of students stood outside an Ayurveda hospital.
Arjun looked closely.
There was a woman standing at the edge of the photograph.
Her face was blurred.
But something about her looked familiar.
Very familiar.
Arjun turned the photograph over.
On the back was written:
“Bangalore Internship — Batch 2019.”
Arjun stared at the words.
Why did that photograph make him feel afraid?
---
CHAPTER 3
BEFORE THE SECOND SEMESTER
After completing the first semester, Arjun was selected for an internship.
The location surprised him.
Bangalore.
He would spend three months there before returning to college for the second semester.
His friends were excited.
“Three months in Bangalore!”
Arjun smiled.
But he couldn't shake the feeling that something was waiting for him there.
Before leaving, he visited his family in Angamaly.
His mother asked:
“When are you leaving?”
“Tomorrow morning.”
She packed food for him.
“Take care of yourself.”
Arjun smiled.
He didn't tell her about the strange dreams he'd been having.
Every night, he saw the same thing.
A hospital corridor.
A door.
And the number:
7.
---
CHAPTER 4
BANGALORE
Bangalore was completely different from Kerala.
Traffic.
Buildings.
Bright lights.
Crowded roads.
Arjun started his internship at an Ayurveda treatment centre.
The first few days were normal.
He concentrated on his work.
He observed doctors.
He assisted with therapy.
He learned new techniques.
And slowly, the nightmares stopped.
Until his seventh night.
At exactly 2:17 a.m., Arjun woke up.
Someone had knocked on his room door.
Knock.
He sat up.
Another knock.
Knock. Knock.
He walked toward the door.
“Who is it?”
No answer.
He opened it.
The corridor was empty.
But on the floor was a small piece of paper.
He picked it up.
There were three words written on it.
ROOM NUMBER SEVEN.
---
CHAPTER 5
THE OLD PATIENT
The next morning, Arjun asked one of the senior therapists about Room 7.
The therapist looked uncomfortable.
“There is no Room 7 here.”
Arjun laughed nervously.
“I saw the number last night.”
The therapist stared at him.
“Where?”
“In my dream.”
The man's expression changed.
“Don't talk about it.”
“Why?”
“Because some patients never leave a hospital completely.”
Arjun thought he was talking about death.
But the therapist continued:
“Sometimes their memories remain.”
That answer stayed in Arjun's mind.
---
CHAPTER 6
THE WOMAN IN THE MIRROR
A few days later, Arjun was working late.
The treatment centre was almost empty.
He went to wash his hands.
As he looked into the mirror—
a woman appeared behind him.
Arjun turned immediately.
Nobody.
He looked back at the mirror.
The woman was still there.
Her face was pale.
Her eyes were fixed on him.
Then she slowly raised one hand.
She pointed behind Arjun.
Toward the corridor.
Arjun turned.
At the end of the corridor was a door.
There was no number on it.
But something had been scratched into the wood.
7
The lights suddenly went out.
When they came back—
the door was open.
---
CHAPTER 7
THE FILE
Arjun entered the room.
There was almost nothing inside.
An old chair.
A broken cupboard.
Several dusty medical files.
He opened the cupboard.
One file fell to the floor.
The name on it shocked him.
ANJALI K.
The same name from the X-ray file in Perumbavoor.
But this file was older.
Much older.
Arjun opened it.
Inside was an X-ray.
And beneath the X-ray was a handwritten note:
“Transferred from Kerala.”
Arjun's heart began racing.
The mystery had followed him from Perumbavoor—
all the way to Bangalore.
---
CHAPTER 8
THE CONNECTION
Arjun called the doctor from the Perumbavoor hospital.
“Sir, I found something.”
“What?”
“Anjali's file.”
There was silence.
“Where?”
“Bangalore.”
The doctor didn't answer.
“Sir?”
Finally, the doctor spoke.
“Arjun, leave that file there.”
“Why?”
“Because some things should stay buried.”
Arjun became suspicious.
“You knew about this?”
Another silence.
Then the doctor said:
“I knew Anjali.”
The call ended.
Arjun stared at his phone.
For the first time, he wondered whether the doctor had been telling him only half the story.
---
CHAPTER 9
THREE MONTHS
The three-month internship passed.
But Arjun continued investigating.
He discovered that Anjali had once travelled between several hospitals in Kerala and Karnataka.
Every hospital had one strange detail in common.
A missing patient.
An old X-ray.
And a mysterious room marked with the number 7.
Arjun began to realize that the number wasn't connected to one hospital.
It was connected to Anjali herself.
But why?
And what did the ghost want from him?
---
CHAPTER 10
RETURN TO KOTTAYAM
The internship ended.
Arjun returned to Kottayam.
The second semester began.
He tried to concentrate on his studies.
But his mind remained with the mysterious file.
One evening, while studying in the college library, he opened his notebook.
A piece of paper fell out.
He had never seen it before.
There was only one sentence:
“You found me in Bangalore. Now find where I died.”
Arjun looked around.
The library was almost empty.
A cold breeze passed through the room.
Then he heard footsteps.
Slow.
Careful.
Coming toward him.
Step.
Step.
Step.
He looked toward the doorway.
Nobody.
But the footsteps continued.
They stopped directly behind him.
A woman's voice whispered:
“Arjun…”
He turned.
Nothing.
Then his phone rang.
The caller ID showed:
UNKNOWN.
He answered.
No one spoke.
Only the sound of breathing.
Then a whisper:
“Malayattoor.”
The call ended.
---
CHAPTER 11
THE FINAL YEAR
The second semester passed.
The mystery remained unsolved.
Arjun continued his studies.
One year later, his course was finally completed.
He received his certificate.
His classmates celebrated.
For Arjun, it felt like the beginning of a new life.
He wanted a quiet job.
A small hospital.
A peaceful place.
Nothing mysterious.
Nothing supernatural.
Then he received a phone call.
A hospital near his home in the Malayattoor area was looking for an Ayurveda Therapist.
Arjun accepted the position.
His family was happy.
“Finally, you have a job near home.”
Arjun smiled.
“Yes.”
But when he looked at the hospital's name on the appointment letter—
his smile disappeared.
At the bottom of the letter was an old handwritten stamp.
A small number.
7
---
CHAPTER 12
MALAYATTOOR
On his first day, Arjun reached the hospital early.
It was a quiet Ayurveda hospital surrounded by trees.
He walked inside.
The smell of medicinal oils filled the corridor.
An elderly staff member welcomed him.
“You're the new therapist?”
“Yes.”
The man smiled.
“Your treatment room is number…”
He stopped.
Arjun waited.
The man looked uncomfortable.
“…six.”
Arjun relaxed.
Room 6.
Not 7.
He entered.
Everything seemed normal.
Until he noticed a door directly opposite his room.
It was locked.
There was no number.
Arjun walked closer.
Something was scratched into the wood.
He touched it.
Dust fell away.
Underneath was a faded number.
7.
---
CHAPTER 13
THE VOICE
That night, Arjun stayed late to finish paperwork.
The hospital was silent.
He switched off the lights and walked toward the exit.
Then he heard it.
Knock.
He stopped.
The sound came from Room 7.
Knock. Knock.
Arjun slowly approached the door.
His hand reached for the handle.
Before he touched it—
a woman's voice came from inside.
“Arjun…”
He froze.
It was the same voice from his dreams.
He stepped backward.
The voice whispered again:
“You came home.”
The door slowly opened by itself.
Darkness filled the room.
Arjun looked inside.
On the wall was an old X-ray.
Pinned beneath it was a photograph.
A young woman.
Anjali.
And beside her—
was the doctor from the small Perumbavoor Ayurveda hospital.
Arjun stared at the photograph.
Now he understood.
The mystery had never been about a room.
It had never been about an X-ray.
It had never been about Bangalore.
It had been about one person.
The doctor.
And somewhere inside the hospital—
the truth was waiting.

PART 3
THE ROOM THAT WAS NEVER THERE
Arjun has finished his studies.
He has finally returned home.
He has the job he wanted.
But his first day at the Malayattoor hospital has revealed the truth:
The ghost has followed him all the way home.
